Pupil Leadership Team

West Ashton Primary School feels that Pupil Leadership is an important part of our school. In Term 6, children in Year 5 and 6 are invited to apply for roles on our Pupil Leadership Team.  They write a letter of application using the role descriptions and have an interview with the current Head Girls/Boys.  Towards the end of Term 6, they take over the roles from the current post holders ready for September.

Trowbridge Youth Parliament

The parliament is a student body representative of the majority of schools within the Trowbridge cluster area. The group work together, using democratic processes to identify issues that are important to them, finding ways to address challenges and play a role in improving their local community.

School Parliament 

Every year group votes for a representative who sits of the school parliament.  They meet to discuss fund-raising ideas, improvements to school, House events and contribute to the weekly newsletter.
