Term 6 Home Learning

I am delighted that year 3 and 4 children will be returning to school as of Monday 22nd June.

Learning in school will be directed at securing the key skills in reading, writing and maths.  Home Learning tasks each week for English will be linked to the lessons your child will be having in class.  Please be clear of what needs to have been prepared each week so that your child gets the most out of the lessons.  Below you will find the Home Learning Tasks.  The Maths Essential Tasks are in a complete pack and are the areas that your child must have secure, ready for September.  Your child will also have maths activities to complete each week.

Support materials and further maths tasks are available on https://whiterosemaths.com/homelearning/

I will post Home Learning on Monday morning to be completed by Friday.   Each Home Learning Task will have a direct link to school lessons, please ensure that your child comes to well prepared and knowing what the expectations for that week are.  Planning and preparation documents will need to be emailed to me so that your child has everything they need in class.  Documents, plans or books from home will not be permitted in class, in order to minimise the risk of infection.  Similarly, any plans prepared in class will be emailed to parents so that children can continue with work at home as necessary.

There will now be no requirement to complete a weekly diary.  Please continue to practise timestables, spellings and read regularly throughout the week whilst at home.

Please send completed work via Class Dojo or the DiscoverersWA@gmail.com account.

I will continue to monitor Class Dojo and the emails each day.  As I will have a full time teaching commitment to the year 3 and 4 children, responses may not be as timely as they have been, but I will endeavour to answer questions, offer support and give feedback on learning as promptly as possible.

Thank you for your ongoing support, enthusiasm and incredibly positive attitude.   I am so very proud to be your class teacher.
