SATs results and performance
At West Ashton we believe that if a child is happy and stimulated they should always reach their academic potential and we aim to ensure we provide the stimulus and the environment that allows this.
The tables below gives a summary of our statutory test results at expected standard in KS2 from the academic year 2024-25.
Key Stage 2 | Reading | Writing | Maths | Combined |
---|---|---|---|---|
National % | 74 | 72 | 74 | 62 |
School % | 79 | 86 | 86 | 71 |
School and College Performance Tables are produced by the Department for Education (DfE) and published online each year in December.
As well as providing information on the achievements of pupils at KS2, they also allow comparison with similar schools, both in the Local Authority (LA) and across England. In addition, they provide details on the school’s expenditure and staffing.
Our data is significantly impacted by the size of the cohort and the level of special educational need within each group. Unlike a full school with classes of 30, where each pupil isn’t such a significant percentage, results in smaller schools are very much cohort dependent but for us, pupils continue to perform in line with, and above, their predictions.
